I read about using a childs play equipment, the kind in the opening scene of one of the hharry potter movies where the boys are at a park, children run turning the platform and then jump on for a ride. THis can be used to also pump wells. THis is a design that I would love to install. I"m fearful when the power is out we have not water. At least at my mothers we had a hand dug well-- open the access and drop a pail in-- attached to a rope of course. lol

I saw a video about this. The guy who came up with this idea started a foundation that installs the playground pump/wells in schoolyards in developing countries. The kids pump water for the whole community!

Good morning everyone! It is a nice cool breezy morning with high humidity here in West Alabama. I am loving this cooler weather!

It is 63 in Woodland, CA currently with a forecast high of 91. The low tomorrow is 55 with a high of 93.
