The Old Folks Home

I loved growing up there and I go visiting as often I can (all the family is still scattered down the peninsula) but I'm a 48er now. That and my hubby just wouldn't do well..he is kinda a city boy.

As much as I don't mind plowing out the drive, I can think of other things these days I would rather be doing instead!

Much of the state, north and west has had frost advisories-- 42 has been the lowest yet for us.

My bourbon red turkeys laid up until this week-- much later than last y ear------ I've been wondering what this means!!

Who has the Farmers Almanac?? ANd it an El Nino or EL Nina year??

Before my parents moved to North Carolina, we lived in upperstate New York. I really didn't miss the lake effect snow. Shortly after my husband and I got married, he started to make noises about moving to Alaska. I told him if he did, he was going alone!

Alaska is a very beautiful place to live. I love it here. Have you ever been to our great state? If not you should think about visiting someday.

Oh, I know, it is spectacular. But it ain't no place for a person with Seasonal Affective Disorder and the ability to get frostnip at 50o F.

I was born in Utah and moved to AK when I was 7,have been here ever since. I love it here. Just seems the older I get the more I don't like the cold.
I was born in Kansas City, MO. Lived in Florida for quite a while..then bunny, I lived where you are for a very short time..it's beautiful! Then to Va. then to Utah. I've lived in Utah since the 60's. Now I'm approaching the age of 60 come Nov. Where did the time go anyway? Well, I love Utah. I put up with the cold winters, and the warm summers. I love the different seasons. The colors are changing on our big ol mountains now. Beautiful!
Ak, where did you live in Utah? I am in Utah county, little ol Spanish Fork. :)
