Hey, DH and I love, love to take mini vacations in National Parks.
So far we have been able to visit a few on the southern and eastern coast.

Hiking and canoe/kayaking is our great love, along with fishing and swimming too! Always in search of the next great waterfall! I would love to do caves/caverns some day as well. DH not so inclined.

It's great because we can take our dog on vacation with us at most parks/cabins...
err, our Lady Laura,...uhmmm... Little Bit...
I did Not say d....o....g....nope, did not!

Just recently had the opportunity to visit the Top of The World at the AK/Canada borders, hike some of the Denali State Park and hike to the Mendenhall Glacier in AK, to the base of that beautiful waterfall and icy blue glaciers. One day (Chickadoodles) I'll get those photos posted....sigh

Vacations are soo nice, but when you get back, just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to do much but try and catch up !!! Guess that's why, for us, they are few and far between! Chirp

Although it looks more approachable than our AK trip was for sure! We are expecting a refund or some type of travel voucher from Holland America cruise due to some travel "issues" we had on the cruise part of our vacation. It would be so sweet if that would come through! Meanwhile, I'll continue to keep an eye on your thread...

Oz, Yellowstone is on my list for next year maybe as well as your place in the Philippines although I know I can't make that next year. We have two weddings we have to travel to next year and that is going to eat up most of our extra money for trips. I am also hoping to make it down to Phoenix next year for my college graduation but that is just a day drive for us so less expensive than flying and we can stay with my brother down there so no hotel fees.
Arielle I have to agree, Bar Harbor and Arcadia are gorgeous in the fall. I am sure SCG has been there since it is not real far from where she lives.
