moxies glad to hear they are doing good!
SCG you will have to let me know how the pie and gravy recipes work out for you.
I spent yesterday away from any stores. I did do some online shopping but I avoid stores like the plague on black Friday. I went to inspect a barn that I am going to move one of my horses to. My trainer wants to work with Allie over the winter to prepare her for a show in March. The barn looked great and I haul her up there today. It will be weird to only have two in the barn for the winter but it will help me stretch the hay out to first cutting next year.

Less chores, too, with one less horse.

I can't get my tires swapped over at any other time than 11 today, so there's not enough time this morning to get Caramel pregnant, and probably not enough time afterwards before dark. BF is leaving today around 11 also so I won't have an additional person in the car to minimize the potential for a goat to be loose in the car while I'm driving on the interstate. It's times like these that I feel lonely up here. Ah, well, maybe her next heat cycle we will be more lucky.

GreetingsGreetings from the Philippines.

I am glad to see that you all had a great Thanksgiving.

I spent mine welding a pig farrowing pen.

I managed to pick up a 6 month old dairy buck. He is 97% Nubian. That's 5 crosses back to a purebred. Its as close to purebred that I could afford. The one year old purebred was almost $600.

My caretaker Bernie thought I was crazy paying $300 for a goat when the local breed buck we had I sold for $45

Then a BYCer came by and bought a trio of RIR from me for $120 and suddenly it started to make sense. These are special goats and special chickens.

Mrs Oz is buying me a Duroc boar for Christmas.

I am squealing with joy!

One more dA

Online shopping is the way to go but some of the best deals are only in store. They like to only get 5-6 of the hottest items in and I wasn't going to miss out this year. I was out from 12:30 to 10 last night  and just got home from a morning run to K-Mart, but now I'm pretty much done. Plus I got some awesome deals. Now I can sit back and relax...after it's all wrapped any way.
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving Day, Today I'm heading to the coop for a little chicken therapy.

You need it after shopping in those crowds. I am with Chickadoodles. If it is not on sale on line then get someone else to get it for you.

I am the someone else around here. My dad is chair bound and my hubby doesn't "do crowds" anymore. So that leaves me. I do kinda like the time away from the house and kid, but it is alot of work sometimes.

I did a little online shopping yesterday.......ordered a 1500 from GQF Mfg for a certain someone on my list............. I'm trying not to be too excited..............

All day today has been spent getting psyched up for the IRON BOWL! For you non-football people, it is Alabama vs Auburn, just the biggest cross state rivalry in the country, always played the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and this year will decide who is the SEC West champion and who goes on to play for the National Championship (Alabama's THIRD in a row which hasn't been done by any team in nearly 50 years!!) Yeah, it's kinda a big deal .
