I love this photo. And I take back what I said about having a long driveway. I don't even see where yours ends. If I was Bob I would cry.
And then buy a truck with a plow on it.
LMAO
Where he is, there's a Juniper to his right and a bit ahead of him, that's the halfway point to the road. Near the top and to the left is a much larger Juniper, that's just inside the fence line. I think the fence is about 10 feet from the road. I haven't measured anything out there for some years, but it's no more than 20 feet from the road.
It's funny, to me anyway, how he can think of things ahead of time that later I realize he's right about. When we were putting up the house he was fanatical about getting a culvert in right where that midway Juniper is, because if we ever got a big rain, that's where it would flood. I secretly rolled my eyes a dozen times while we worked that one out. We hadn't been here a month and got a "toad strangler" that washed hundreds of dollars' worth of gravel off the driveway and made it almost impassible. If we hadn't installed the culvert and put down all that gravel, the driveway would have been gone. It darned near was, we had to call a contractor who had worked on the driveway to come back and repair it before any more rain fell, and luckily he was able to get here the same day and fix the damage before it could get any worse.
