So Christmas had the tree and line crew show up. Yesterday the cable/internet guys showed up.

Today... the cleanup crew finally showed up.



They found them to be delicious offerings from above. A couple branches fell in their run during the storm, they had them stripped within hours. Pippy's face was covered with sap.

Good question! I know that Grand-dad would have fits if his cows got out of the fence and into the Ceder trees!

They're not pregnant or lactating, so I'm not sure. I do know what they can eat can affect the taste of the milk.

But, will they leave the 'too big to eat stuff' in stove sized pieces after they get what they want?

I wish. They haven't learned to use the chainsaw, yet. They are, however, completely unfazed by the sawzall. I can be using that and they'll be munching on the tree right next to where I'm trying to cut. Silly creatures.

We're going to get another 6 to 10 inches of snow tonight!

Bitterweed is a low growing flower with bright yellow flowers. If you touch them andthen touch your tongue with your fingers it is the most bitter taste that you can imagine. When cows eat bitterweed the milk is just that bitter. It is undrinkable.
