The Old Folks Home

There is a bit. The Ten Day Forcast show:

jan 09 Few showers
Jan 11 Showers

Then it goes to P cloudy on the 12th.

December and January are our wettest months. Sometimes we can get a wet February or March, but After April the rain averages drop less than .25 inches per month.

Our Governor has already declared an Emergency and Farmers will get less than 25% of there water this year. Since California feeds the World with a lot of our Ag products, we can expect some price increases next year.

Showers probably isn't the rain that you need.

I hope they have long johns.

I've discovered that the temperature that it is outside currently is apparently below the freezing point for windshield wiper fluid.

I went out and took a few pictures for my parents (who were excited to get 2 inches of slush last night). This was my favorite one:

If we get any more snow I don't think we'll be able to see my street's sign.

I drove through Wyoming one winter--They were selling sub 30 window washer fluid. The stuff from California made slush on the Wind Shield...

Yup. I sent BF to the store last night on his way home to get more washer fluid and he got the "regular" kind. Oops.

If you ever run out of wiper fluid you can always throw snow on your windshield and scrub the salt off with that.

Anyone got fun plans for the weekend?

I plan to sleep off my jetlag.

78F weather outside and I will be unconcious for most of the weekend.

In my waking hours, I will have lunch with my parents who are over from OZ for 8 weeks and then drop off a phone a sister in law will take back to the Phils for me.

A nice weekend!

Besides my chicken chores I am going to build a fire in the stove in my shop and do some straightening out there. Thourh the weather will be pretty chilly here. It would be a heat wave for some of you further North.
