My younger sister liked KISS-- sch crazy costumes-- so memorable. Saw what-his name- on TV the other day-- so hard to imagine him as a member of KISS. Gene simmons. 

Classic rock is the 1970's for me maybe into  the early 80's. 

One and only concert was Alabama. A family affair with tons of young kids, and I had the best seat in the house: almost 90 degrees to the stage, and only 50 feet away. All for $5. 

Strange fact, Gene Simmons was a high school teacher before KISS and neither he nor
paul Stanley used drugs or alcohol. The other two members, however, were both addicts.

If you heard Wait Wait this past weekend then surely you heard Tom talk about his wife telling him that just because she didn't laugh, didn't mean she didn't get the joke

Been to a Kansas concert myself (my first also), Saw Al Jarreau once, Todd Rundgren, Bonnie Raitt, and Robert Cray twice each, and once in college (the first time) I got talked into going with my roommates to a Barry Manilow concert, and let me tell you, that guy is a born entertainer, he put on one heck of a show.

I love Robert Cray!

Tony Bennet too.

I grew up with Midnight Oil, Men at Work, Crowded House.

I worked with Bon Jon Jovi's sis.

BTW - 50 year anniversary of Beatles invading USA last weekend.

I couldn't tell you anyhoo on any thing to do with rock...(is that what it's called? ) I had no idea who Ozzie Osborne was till they had that reality show back in 2005.....

Men at wwork were featured as the music for a spoof on a navy film-- DH and I didn't even know how to explain that group . . . . lol, so we didn't! "In the Navy" is just as catchy a tune now as then-- boys loved it!! ANd the movie too.

Well that explains his clean cut act now. He never really changed.

Men at wwork were featured as the music for a spoof on a navy film-- DH and I didn't even know how to explain that group . . . . lol, so we didn't! "In the Navy" is just as catchy a tune now as then-- boys loved it!! ANd the movie too.

In the Navy was sung by the screamingly gay Village People.

Men at work sang We Come from A Land Down Under, who can it be now and such.

I can hear " We com from a land down under" in my head-- yup another great song-- and that from Men at Work.

I didn't really know who Ozzie Osborn was either-- that is hard rock-- and not within my capacity to listen to! Soft rock yes, and it must be ol from the1970's. I switched to country about 1980 and soon lost track of rock. ANd couldn't tell you who is who out there these days.

I think I am trapped in a time bubble!!

My favorite celebrity to ever come out of Oz is and will always be Steve Erwin. I still miss him.

SCG that is beautiful work on your quilt! I can manage the binding but that is it. lol
I did do one whole quilt by hand (my first) too much work for my arthritis hands now..
