The Old Folks Home

Growing greens is going to be tough at coco beach. We plant ours in the fall. It seems they thrive when we have frost. Oh and bugs love em. Just from my experiences but i dont know a whole lot. If u figure out a way please share. I would so love a row of georgia collards in july. And summer cabbage would be awesome
i figure i will be eating immature plants but wanted to try. our temps never exceed 90-93 so maybe we can get a few leaves on the way to bolting

Everyone is planting wonderful things to eat for this year, I love reading about it and seeing the pics.

Happy Early Birthday ChickenCanoe! I have to say it now because I'm afraid with a weekend behind me, I'll not remember Monday when it is actually your birthday :)

There is about a 100 acre peanut farm 200 yards through my woods. I can definately get any of u seeds for free. I see a great peanut shipping experiment or getting peanuts out of here thread in the works lol. I will talk to my peanut farming neighbor and see if he knows of a variety suited for u over there.

Or anywhere to any of u. Let me know. Hes an excellent neighbor and 3rd generation commercial peanut farmer. I have the peanut hook up
peanuts grow well in the phils but none of us have planted them.

it seems they like to grow where peanuts have grown before.

I have 4 cubic yards of compost cooking so i will have another hundred linear feet of garden in june in time for the wet season. I am amending the soil with six inches of compost and will repeat with every new planting season.

I wish I had access to about 100 railway ties. I love the look of raised beds with railway ties. I dont want to kill trees for such a whim. When I am there I search for alternatives. I have 8 yards of large river rock coming in ten days.

I need to find some granite

which variety do u want? Or do u want me to ask my neighbor what would be best? Surely seed peanuts would be fine to ship. I would love to help. I stay bored
