The Old Folks Home

I am not an old folk.

Me neither, in my mind. And, heart and soul. :D Wait, the heart is getting old. My brain got old a while back.

We get those bent over pumpkins/jeans around here at Halloween. Gives me a chuckle every time we drive by.

I don't know what math blaster is but I do remember playing nerdy word games because they were fun.

And now I sew. I'm almost finished with my pumpkins. I've got 2 more to embroider and then I can put them together into a table runner.

Ok, this is an official invitation to join our quilting group on BYC. Our next swap is not due until Dec 1 so lots of time to put stuff together.

Come over to my profile page and you can find links to quilting blocks. Hope to see you there.

What will u do with all that applesauce?

Eat some, bake with some. My hobby has been stuffing my DH full of fiber. Brought his cholesterol down about 100 points and he's eating lots better. Fresh applesauce is almost surreal in taste.

There's still a couple hundred pounds of apples on the two trees, but we're slating most of them for cider (and hard cider, truth be told). All my neighbors have horses, so this time of year I'm pretty popular.

Do chickens eat apples? Applesauce?

My hatching eggs are arriving. The first box to arrive were the Cinnamon Queens...13 brown eggs and one white one. Guess they ran out. (?) If there's room in the bator I may hatch it, but the bator bus to Hatchville is going to be pretty crowded this time.
