I'm hungry too - I want some banana nut bread - any nut but peanuts. I can't bake anything at home because no matter how many servings it's supposed to be, I eat them all - in one day. I tried freezing things solid, didn't help. Don't even wait for it to thaw out, just gnaw at it like a bone. But, it's all good, keeps me from being bored, plus grinds down the sharp spots on fangs.

I just had Menudo for brunch.

for those who arent familar its a Mexican soup with a really rich broth usually Made with Tripe Hominy and served with a side of diced onion cilantro Cabbage and limes.

Best one I ever had.... and as usuall too rich for me to eat the whole bowl.

FWIW good for hangovers too.

Country style pork ribs without the bone over sliced onion and sprinkled with fajita packet in the crock pot with 1/2 cup water. I never tried it before and it may be bland but I'm serving it over yellow rice.

Follow up on this was awesome. I can't tell you how many meals I've made and all three of them would order in pizza. All three loved it. Like pulled pork. I made the rice yellow with a tsp turmeric because I want it in our diets more. One of the top 5 foods for health. This fed 4 hungry adults and will have lunch for Aimee and me tomorrow. Total expeniture. $7. The pork was on sale for $2.50 lb. I wish I had my freezer.

Or, as Max the Geico pig would say, "Wheeeeeee, whee, whee, whee, WHEEEEEE!"

Set 30 eggs today for round two of creating my layer flock. Out of the 40 shipped eggs last time I got 3 hens and one undetermined OE to keep. So this batch is 10 Wheaten Marans, 7 CCL, 7 EE (RIR x CCL) and 1 dozen TJ's. Hopefully my last hatch for the year.

Had a Zojurishi bread machine that did yeoman's duty for years until the pan and paddle got trashed. Haven't had a good loaf since and they've since stopped making that particular model. Just as well, though, as I'm sure all the Texas Toast, French toast and mega croutons probably didn't do the glycemic index any favors. BUT y'all's chow sure looks good!

Tonight here is Portobello mushroom burgers (topped with bacon and bleu cheese) and a salad.

LOL on the Rooster with dumplings.
