Somehow, I managed to Unsubscribe from my own thread and just thought no one was posting so it didn't show up in the upper right corner as unread posts. I have spent hours answering unanswered posts and greeting new members......

Been there, done that.

I thought that they had pulled the whole thread. (going through some trouble)

The coop was all astir when I went in yesterday. It was thundering, and I thought that was the cause. The cockerel that is with that group, was making all kinds of noise, strutting around and jumping in, and out of the nest box. I looked, nothing. He continued. Then I saw what was causing the stir. There, on the ground, was a pullet egg. My oldest pullet laid her first egg. She waited for me to acknowledge her, and her accomplishment, which I did. I held it up for all the young ladies to see, and bragged about what big sis had done. They actually came and looked at the egg. Bis sis strutted in front of them. The darned cockerel was so proud you would have thought he was the one that laid the egg. Extra good day at the coop!

Getting Caught up a little myself.....

My mom has one of those Urban terrorist dogs herself. Chihuahuas were bred for companionship Big dog attitude and Thats about it. Oh and they are good eating ..... I hear.... ahem. Not really they were revered in Mexico.... But DANG her dog is on my list.

But with all dogs they need training to be a good citizen.... Not moms strong suit.

I sometimes toss our dachshund into a 5 foot pile of powder snow, she loves it. They look so funny when they swim through the snow.
