Oh Wisher, those tomato plants look soo good. Didn't plant tomatoes this year. :( We have a cat that comes and uses our spot for his/her potty place. I keep telling my DH we need to set the live trap out, but I think it belongs to our neighbor across the street, the girls would miss their cat. :/ Regardless of it being the kitty litter area, my sunflowers did grow great! Strong plant I guess! I cut one down the other day, I think the other one is ready, the seeds are getting dark.

Moth balls are a good cat repellant. But once they start you have to get rid of the urine odor first. One thing you might also try is giving the cat a diversion cat box.

Moth balls are not good if you have kids or if you think the chickens might get into them.

Or fence the garden so the cat cant get in. If its a male you will have to put up a deflector screen....

I love your sandwich making skills, Wisher! ;-)

Bama, I used Spinosad for those terrible tomato worms! It's an organic pesticide that is a particular kind of bacteria, kills fire ants and fleas too, plus much more. Plus DE (diatomaceous earth) is great for lots of the grasshopper type, arthropod bugs. There's a few really good organic pesticides that work really well! Just put them on closer to dark so it doesn't kill the bees.
