The Old Folks Home

We had a really angry customer at work today. A head nurse talked to him yesterday, the patient advocate came in to see him early this morning and then after seeing the advocate the patient called the hospital directors office to continue to complain.

I got sent in at that point.

I came out with a "situation fixed, he's contented" progress report (complete with some good suggestions to make the place better) and a new friend.

I wouldn't divulge my secrets to senior management. Let them think I'm amazing.

Wait for it...

He has goats and chickens.

Amazing how much these little critters bond us no matter our differences.
How wonderful for you

I live in Firestorm central.... its Always scary. Do you have an evacuation plan? Everyone should. There is always the possibility of needing to get out.... weather its flood fire earthquake or man made disaster....

Have a meetup location in case you are separated from family. A way to get your animals out if possible.... or a way to identify your animals in case you have to let them loose. Dogs micro-chipped.... Tags on halters....

Me I have a two horse horse trailer it would have held my horse three goats and as many poultry I could catch in dog crates.

each plan is different.... especially with kids and meds and mobility issues.

Today the fire more than doubled and is now at 8600 acres

Wow I need to get on more often 4758 new posts since I was last on lol! So big question, My Hens are loosing feathers on their backs and the tips of their tail feathers are bare, is it mites or is my male aggressive? If it is mites what is a home cure? They dust bathe regularly.

How many hens to your rooster? Anything less than 8-10 is probably the reason. If so get a few more hens.

Yes, I am an enabler.

Edited: And adding in Bantam to the mix means 3 more roosters. They are go getters.
