Moth balls are a good cat repellant. But once they start you have to get rid of the urine odor first. One thing you might also try is giving the cat a diversion cat box.
Moth balls are not good if you have kids or if you think the chickens might get into them.
Or fence the garden so the cat cant get in. If its a male you will have to put up a deflector screen....

I would catch the cat in a live trap, scare the willies out of it (in hopes that it vows never to return,) then sweetly return it, in the cage, to it's owner. Once.
ok thank you for that suggestion, right now they get laying pellett and chick starter mixed together. They love it! I don't really know where to find wheat seeds.
You can give them a spoon full of tuna or canned catfood each every other day, or some cat food kibble scattered about. I feed mine BOSS (black oil sunflower seed) and Calf Manna along with their regular food. I will also mix starter with some plain yogurt about twice a week.
Oh, and the old stand-by, scrambled eggs!

Ooh I didnt even think of that one.... I used to put down cobble stones for a dog that dug. those hurt when they roll over on paws. He was trying to get out of the fence No garden at the time.

actually I used to have three roos for twenty five hens. One roo was dominant so he didnt allow the other roos at "his" hens. but what the other roos did was keep him on his toes watching them.... of course they would get a lick in every once and a while then there would be a bloood curtleing scream and youd see the offender run across the yard with the dominant roo in full persuit.... The third party would be do de doing around the yard till he was close enough to get a lick in himself.....
My hens didn't seem the worse for wear. LOL.
