The Old Folks Home

We are raising them to breed. Will be selling the babies as piglets and as feeders. The farm where we bought them will be mentoring us along. The boar is almost eight weeks and the girls are six weeks. I'll post pics tonight when I'm at my laptop. They are sooooo cute!

Ya, the pain in my hands wakes me up all night. RA is a bummer. Looking for a Dr. to hopefully help make the pain go away or at least get a little better. :D

have u thought about any natural herbal remedies? I hear u can stock up in colorado and washington. (Or in my neighbors yard)

Arielle said she would help me with a low carb diet she swears it will help. So I told her I am game if she has the time. lol
Thanks for thinking of me though Bama I appreciate it. :D

She's right! If you take gluten out of your diet, or at least restrict it (which lots of carbs have gluten, breads and such), it will greatly help with your RA! The gluten attacks our joints and inflames them. Reducing or eliminating gluten would help everyone with arthritis. Something else that would help you is to add an all natural gelatin to your diet. I have one knuckle that would sometimes give me trouble (after I so gracefully smashed it a hammer while gardening) and it really helped! I put a tablespoon in my coffee, just adding a little more sweetener covered the taste, or you can make some fun homemade gummy candy! (It's for my arthritis, I SWEAR! ;-) If you think about it, we're really not getting enough gelatin in our diets anymore. Back in the day, people would make bone broth and knaw on bones, even eat the marrow! I found both porcine and bovine gelatin on Amazon. I hope you find some respite from the pain!

I have learned never to go working into a freshly fertilized garden or step on a freshly fertilized lawn and then to the airport...a surefire guarantee you'll get wiped and swiped and thought of as a potential bomb maker.

I imagine if you've got oodles of chickens you might have a bit of high-in-nitrogen dust that might read a false positive.

I thought they might be.... There is a breeder here in San Diego that got her first batch from Greenfire. They may be on my list for my next go round for Chickens.

I ordered Sapphires a blue egg layer. Crested Cream Legbar over a White Leghorn. I wish now that I'd stuck with the original plan of CCL. I'm getting rid of all but 3 of my Sapphires.

When my military service started, we were all placed in classrooms with our bags left outside. This was just a ruse for checking our bags while we were there. At the time, one of our dachshunds was in heat, so my bag was understandably a bit interesting to a male dog. After that I was taken to the side, and an MP went through all of my stuff. I felt very manly when he patted through all of my underwear and socks, and among other things, a stuffed moose toy Karin had given me...
