My cousins came from Ishpeming, Michigan and they were always saying "aboot", of course we mimicked them - yes, to make fun of them but, that's okay because they were family- right?

California doesn't have an accent per se..... Like Totally.... Linguistically we are closer to midwestern....

Heck, we have different accents/slangs, right here in the different parts of Utah.

I live in Spanish Fork .. or should I say..Spanish Fark? I don't say it that way, but my goodness, you would think that some of these folks have lived out in the boonies for a long time. Farmers, they are the ones.
You don't wanna.. and don't forget now, ya hear? lol..it isn't as bad as it was about 5 yrs. ago, but I'm still hearing it. I could go on, but I'm afraid I might say something weird to my DH when I stop typing.

And oh, for some reason, I do use the word ey..? You were trying to get that right..ey? It's funny, not often, but I do use it sometimes. Maybe because I use it my writing on the net. You know what I mean..ey? (instead of .. right?)

Our son is coming home this month after having been in GA. for two yrs. When he writes us, we see a lot of..ya'll. I used to live in the south..soo..I know good and well, I will be saying, ya'll at times..it still pops out every now and again as it is!

My first riding instructor was from Boston.... A rough old broad is the best way to describe her.... She said things like paak the Caaa .... and Baabed Waaa... (barbed wire)... she used the term Soda for a Coke or a Doctor Pepper.... I picked that up from her....

So I ask One of my Aunts if she wants a Soda... She looked at me straight and asked me if I thought she had a stomach ache...

OOOH BOOOOOOM  Zoom   I live under the flight path to Miramar Air Station.....  AIR SHOW...  The Blue Angels just flew over..... NOW the Heliocopters are rattling the pictures on the walls. 

We used to get all that when TOP GUN was at Miramar....  Now its Heliocpters when the Marines moved in.

One year I was driving into San Francisco during Fleet Week. As I went over the Golden Gate Bridge, the Blue Angels flew right over my head. I couldn't have timed it better.
