RIP 1953-2021
I am not familar with those foods.... what are they?We are having a lovely weekend at Karin's parent's cottage. Yesterday we ate raclette, it was delicious. Today we've been doing winter preparations. I went out around sunrise to try and shoot a couple of ducks or something, but none were to be seen. Instead I got to witness a beautiful sunrise. There was no wind, and the sun came up with beautiful colors over the see. And there was total silence. Then I went back to sleep for a while, and then we made breakfast. Then Karin and her mom went shrooming and berry-picking, and lost our dachshund and the other labrador for about 2 hours. Meanwhile, Karin's dad and I took apart two old doors that had been exchanged earlier in the summer, and we took down the marquis over the terrace. Then we had some lunch, bratwurst, fried taters and a tuna salad. Now we're burning up the wood from the doors, and we have a 4 pound hunk of entrecote in the grill, which is slow cooking. And the weather has been absolutely beautiful, it's about 5 deg C warm and the sun has been shining all day, but now it's going down.

Entrecote= prime beef.... Really? Like prime Rib?
Raclette= melted cheese.... Yummmm.
