The last project I can remember completing was a few years ago. I made some blankets for my minis to wear in some Christmas parades. The parades are at night, so they had to be lighted. Here's Syd in hers:


I had more trouble with these things (not the least of which was photographing them!

) The red lights on this blanket were originally the ball-type LED's (perfect "berries"), but I apparently calculated the voltage wrong and they all burned out within the first hour. Sooooo, I had to re-wire it with regular mini lights (less persnickety). Syd has broken the switch off twice - I think I have that detail worked out. The green LE wire has proven to be the least problematic detail of the whole thing, though you can't kink it to a really tight angle or you risk breaking the connection.

It is hard when you are the one blamed for everything. They are not going to get any better..... so the only thing to do is to realize that the REASON that you are blamed, is because they think that you are an all powerful being.

Just think, your brother thinks that YOU control the times when all restaurants are open. That is a pretty cool power. Of course he didn't deserve to have the restaurant that he wanted open on Christmas, so OF COURSE, you with your supreme power made it close.

Think of it that way....

They will start to look at you funny, when they are being nasty and insulting, and you start laughing..... but it will be so very good for you.

God, I LOVE this, Alaskan. You are so singing to the choir on this. Yes, I was blamed for just about everything this holiday and yes, I cried. But, you know, we talked and resolved some old issues and everybody feels better.

My Christmas present from oldest DD in Vancouver was a $100 check. What to buy? Well, I'm getting my order ready to Townline for 30, count them, 30 ISA Brown pullets. They lay 300 a year and x 30, is, gasp, 9000 eggs. About 14.5 dozen a week. I'm switching my feed to Azure Standard organic and going to go full guns on selling eggs. A bunch of new subdivisions opened in the last couple of years and I'm hoping to get a good response.
Second DD got me Black rubber half boots with white dots. Snazzy. And a lot of other odds and ends. Third DD got me a lovely red and white apron for baking my Artisan Bread. I truly couldn't have ask for more. A wonderful day. .
