The Old Folks Home

I got some pansy plugs once that I swear, I think the plane made a low pass over the runway and they just pushed the box out the door. Gives "drop ship" a whole new meaning.

Once again, I am feeling very glad that I don't bruise easily. Last night, when I went to retrieve a feeder pan from one of my mini's stalls, one of the goats was in there, and she spooked at something just as I bent over to pick up the pan. This goat had a botched dehorning job done on her when she was a kid; I'm really glad she doesn't have a full set of horns. She has a scur on the right side of her head that is a little bit bigger than a jawbreaker/gumball, and she caught me with it right on the cheekbone. Thankfully, she missed my eye (and my glasses!). It could have been so much worse - as it is, I have a small red mark, and a bruise about the size of a half-dollar. Pointy-headed problem child!

@superchemicalgirl I am doing great!!! had the last surgery to remove the long pin that was sticking thru a bone and into a tendon. Once the stitches were out from that one (just before Christmas) I've been walking better every day.

I missed out on this one..glad things are doing better.

My son with spina bifida broke his bone just above the ankle a few days ago. Went to the ER, they put splints on and wrapped it real good. Had him get an appt. with an Ortho..got that in a couple of days, Went, he says, on New Years Eve Day...the X-ray looks good, come back in a week and I'll put a cast on it. They wrapped it up pretty good, should be fine. What? I have to wonder how that is looking under there. And, this is the young man that has a history of blood clots. Had one from the inner side of the knee all the way up to his pelvic area last time he was in the hospital for multiple things going on. Glad he was home for Christmas this year, instead of the hospital.

Take it easy on the walking now, a slow step at a time.

Hope your boy is ok. Must have been a clean break of the small bone, but still???? Did you see the xray? Maybe they are delaying because he has a history of clots and they want to be able to see right away if there's trouble?
