Sadly,i have the lungs of a 70 yr old, have since i was a kid

been trying to improve for years now asthma has come back with a vengeance. Was symptom free for my late 20's thru early 40's.

Me too. I'm an ex smoker and will be 68 next month.

Ten years ago I did one of those tests that tells how old your body really is by your lifestyle. As a smoker, drinker and very overweight person it told that I was in my 70's at 58. So now I don't smoke, or drink (a lot) and have lost 50 lbs and kept it off over a year. Maybe I'm getting younger because that's what my SIL kept telling me after I stopped the vices and started losing weight. Now I have my chicken chores and am very healthy with great blood pressure, low cholesterol and don't get sick. Other than a bad knee, which will never get better on it's own, I'm great.

Mid sixties I looked like 12 in high school, so I couldn't pretend to be older anything. But, I did get to ride the bus on non school days for free (accompanied by my much taller, older sister.
