There's a feed store right down the road from me that is convenient but I rarely use them. If I do, I look at the bag of feed first to see how old it is. They let it sit for up to a year. They had some vitamins that had expired by 3 years. I told them about it and 2 years later, the packets are still there. TSC does a better job of moving their feed but it's about 1.5 hours round trip. They carry Dumor and Purina.I found the feed I was looking for, and didn't have to drive too far to get it. There is an Ace Hardware nearby that is also a feed store. The price was good too.
I agree.I keep wondering if your super high protein levels aren't detrimental to them.
I think 16% in the winter is just fine, but definitely not higher than 20%.
When it gets super cold, I don't increase their protein, I increase their fat intake.
