The Old Folks Home

I guess my point is for people to try and start a feed co-op so it will be cheaper. I tried in vain for a few years, even with our large local chicken group. There was a lot of interest in organic but it never got off the ground. There was an organic mill outstate that occasionally drove loads this way but they were very hard to contact and are now defunct.
The coop fairy already had a co-op going, mostly for dog and parrot feed. She even got a lot of raw meat for the dogs. She had several freezers at the time.

A matter of perspective.

talking about gender....

My dad stood in front of his class yesterday and said something like:

I am deeply depressed. My wife is leaving me. She has packed up all of her bags, and is driving off this afternoon for a much younger person of indeterminate gender.

no one got the joke?

One of the guys in the class did....... but only one.

Anyway, my baby sister is due, as of yesterday, and my mom drove over to be with her for the birth. My sister never had an ultrasound done, so they have no idea what gender the baby is.

Notice today's temperature? It was like that yesterday, and the day before too. When it gets in the 30's here, YES, it's super cold. How much should I increase their fat intake to help them weather the cold snap?

Alaskan, is she going to visit her daughter, or daughter-in-law awaiting the birth of her grandchild?

yep!

I thought it was a hoot.

My dad was pleased with the shocked reactions of the class.... except for the one guy who got it.

Which I think makes it even better. (when one person gets it, but not the rest....funnier)

Anyway, my sister still isn't in labor.

But, you know how those things go.... never know when.
