The Old Folks Home

Snowing here, too, so no hurry to go outside. Coffee is hot and a good companion.

I have a TracFone, too. I needed an update to the phone I had so I could get texts. Wasn't thrilled with the $70+ per month for the two phones DH and I were using. He went off to Verizon and I went Trac. I got mine on a home-shopping network deal and paid a whopping $150 for a year of service and 1200 minutes, plus triple minutes for life. DH got a new plan and is paying about $30 for his. MUCH happier here. When not traveling or working I don't use my cell phone all that much.

Remember when cell phones were about the size of a brick? I bust up every time I see "Miami Vice" and what was all hep then just looks dorky now.

Morning all.
Cold, snowy, windy and I'm trying to stall going out to the coop. Oh look! Coffee!!!

BTW-I too am totally happy with my tracfone. My new one has all the touchscreen, bluetooth, wifi, etc. and I have no idea how to use any of it. Guess I need to actually go to town one of these days, sit in the coffee shop and play with the thing.
As for virus software, I am paying my phone company/ISP a monthly for theirs. I know, but it's easier. I use CCcleaner too. Have for many years. Gets the job done.

Ok, stalled long enough. Got to go give the girls breakfast.

OH look it is Phillis DIller!!

Puddin, evening by now

SCG I hope your chicks leg gets better. Poor thing.

Arielle Have you kept that McAfee updated? My brother thought if he had McAfee on his 7 yrs. later that he did not need anything else. Truth is the McAfee was just a free trial and he had not been paying for the new version yearly.

Hi everyone!

anti virus programs are famous for missing trojan viruses. It is like letting the trojan horse past the walls of Troy--The anti virus software is often by passed that way--then the virus disables the anti virus software.

Spybot is free and does a good job of removing adware, malware and trojans.

I think this is the perfect joke for me to tell in The Old Folks' Home - most of you have heard it, or maybe it's just popular where I work.

An elderly couple were driving across the country. The woman was driving when she got pulled over by the highway patrol. The officer said, "Ma'am did you know you were speeding?"

The woman, hard of hearing, turned to her husband and asked, "What did he say?"

The old man yelled, "He says you were speeding!"

The patrolman said, "May I see your license?"

The woman turned to her husband once again and asked, "What did he say?"

The old man yelled, "He wants to see your license!"

The woman gave the officer her license. The patrolman then said, "I see you are from Arkansas. I spent some time there once and went on a blind date with the ugliest woman I've ever seen."

The woman turned to her husband and asked, "What did he say?"

The old man yells, "He said he thinks he knows you!".

Wisher those were pretty funny! Here is another funny I came across today. There are days it feels this way in Arizona

I actually get a BIG kick out of watching different 80s shows every so often.... where they are in an emergency... and need to find a pay phone... and the very few people who have cell phones.. yep, they look like bricks with these giant antena
