The Old Folks Home

Kathy, to my recollection ibuprofen doesn't work as a painkiller in dogs, and it poses serious risk of liver damage. No idea how it would work on birds though.

I have used Glucosamine on my older dogs for hip pain, for yrs. If I am out at one point, I will give them Ibuprofen a couple of times until I can get more Gluosamine...they did fine. Of course, I wasn't using it every day.

Ironically this pc is not that old.

Mostly the problem is this:

cursor gets sluggish and then connection to internet is dropped. IF it is on auto-redial, the cursor will be come "normal" again, until it is redialing.

I deleted the cookies and it is functioning better-- though I say this with reservation. Still test the test of time. lol

Don't have flash because connection drops. grrrrr. A problem due to slow dial up, not because the internet connection drops though, the latter is still active.

Also, can be very difficult to get internet connection when IE is already running. If IE is not up yet, usually internet is connected on first try,

Have you done a disk cleaning and disk compression?
?????????????????? I'm teachable.

Walmart is thinning their Christmas stock right now. Just be sure you get lots of memory. Microsoft is going to be offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 in the early (hopefully) fall to all users of Vista 7 & 8.
Will have a looky-looky.

TO all this begs the question. What should it be loaded with? How do I know how much RAM it should have-- as in what is a lot??? We do: gaming, photo downloads and editing, school work too. . . . . windows, PP, and excel and ???? I don't trust Staples or DH to handle this!!!

@Arielle pc issues stink but at least your printer is not possessed. Mine has been printing random pages since the AT&T guy left yesterday.

On the upside, I got a wonderful chocolate souffle recipe out of thin air and a map of Mongolia.
