Yes, China is the biggest producer of Garlic.

Gilroy is the biggest in the USA but has been hit hard by a fungus in recent years.

Another bit of trivia, recently because of the Garlic fungus, the Gilroy garlic festival used garlic from China instead of local garlic.

Well that got me curious, 'cause some around here (Gilroy) have said the same about Watsonville and artichokes, so I looked that up, too.
