Whoot Whoot!It's raining!!![]()
We have so many of carpenter bees that I won't go out to the sheds when they come out those and red river wasps! We also have those tiny bees here they call them sweat bee's in Alabama and yes they are a pain! I feel for ya!It's ironic - one of the biggest pest we have around here are Carpenter Bees. They are a large bumblebee, and chew their own tunnels into any exposed wood. Painting the wood may or may not deter them, but as you can imagine, 1/2" holes drilled lengthwise in 2-by lumber can seriously compromise its strength.
Another pest we have around here is a tiny little bee, maybe 1/4" long, that will fly/crawl inside clothing, and sting when it gets trapped between clothes and skin. I can't count the number of stings I've had from those little monsters!
I hope they will get to use their sled and snow shoes! I know they will have fun no matter what they use! lolI'm glad it is NOT raining here---- would make the snow much too heavy to easily more. Pretty light and fluffy and snowed all day. Kids and I are preparing to get outside for the evening feeding.
Snow blower is ready though--- if the roads are clear to morrow I will pick it up then . SNow isnt going anywhere right?? lol
Very pretty here-- will be gorgeous when the sun shines and the snow sparkles!! Hope the kids will get to use the snow shoes tomorrow and get some sledding in!!!!

I have to work with whats availableHey Oz, ever research Kinder goats? They are supposed to give excellent high butterfat milk and have the best feed to meat conversion, good dual purpose and breed year round.
Quote: Yes, rain now would make a terrible mess!!! Started at 0 this morning and it is 18 now. Kids bundled up and hussled thru the chores. THey dont seem to mind the cold!
We had to reshovel to every pen, as if we had not already accomplished that this morning. SO maybe 8-10 inches in all. VERY light and fluffy and easy to shovel. More snow due THursday. I'm fine with it, as long as the sled continues to hold up!!!
Hoping to get a few shots tomorrow!!! Might have a learning curve to get them posted . . but I'll try for sure to post them.
