I thought Maddy would have owned the  whole town by now. 

She and I were partners but she got bored and deserted me to play with her new palace pet, "Meadow." I am required to know the names of all the princesses AND their pets. Meadow is Rapunzel's pet skunk.
We got home after 11pm and while DD and Maddy fed the dogs and cat DH and I put another bale of straw in the piggies house for them to tunnel in tonight...gave them a midnight snack of subway leftovers...then I did a headcount in the coop, topped off their food and moved Betty and Mavis from the top of the nest boxes and put them both on the roost with the others so they could snuggle up. Of course that woke up Dobby so I had to pet him...spoiled brat. Now I'm falling asleep in my recliner with a fire in the wood stove, Princess Buttercup on my lap and Daisy snoring behind me.

Well it's not spring yet (at least not here) but we did make it to Friday!

Two of us have been working on a nintendo quilt in sewing class made entirely out of 1 inch finished squares. After a couple weeks of working on it, we're now 4% done!

This is what we're making:


We started with the middle "panel" and here's how far we've gotten:


At this rate it's going to take us 2 years just to finish the top.

I think so, too. I have a soft spot for the original nintendo entertainment system. I couldn't care less about xbox or playstation.

Many of them don't sting.
Wasps and hornets are the most aggressive.
Honey bees won't sting unless one messes with the hive. They only sting to protect the brood and stores. A foraging bee won't sting unless it gets stepped on or trapped in clothing. They save their stinger to protect the hive. A swarm won't sting either since they have no brood or stores to protect.
Bumblebees and other solitary bees are pretty docile.
Bottom line, don't mess with them and they won't mess with you.

Dogs will trigger honeybees because furry animals raid their hives.

Scg i love your mario quilt i would go crazy with one inch squares. Its amazing.

I agree I loved the simple type Mario, Legend of Zelda, Metroid- I was no good at playing them but, I loved to watch my son play. He was quite young and when he finished the first level we celebrated. Little did I know that it wasn't finishing the game - there were MORE levels. Loved the music too.

Now all the games he plays look the same - all you see is the gun or space gun or whatever the player is holding. Just a lot of shooting -boring.



I bet you could make humongous bucks selling that Mario quilt on ebay.
