The Old Folks Home

We lost a cow giving birth last Sunday. My DH tried all day to get the calf out he finally used the come a long but some how the calf was attached to her spine and he could not get the calf out.
She was only 2 and it was her first calf. Loss is hard no matter if it is is a horse, cow, dog, cat, pig or chicken.
Been there done that . Very hard to deal with. And very exhausting. Big money loss too

One dark. Two light. Three cute.

SUPER CUTE!

OK, maybe tomorrow I will try to take cute pictures of my new chicks. I just got my first chick from my overly expensive pair of Bantam Blue Wheaten Ameraucana. I keep telling the kids to continually whisper "you better be a girl".

Anyway, its mom is finally producing like an actual chicken.. so there might be one more chick hatching on Monday, and I just tucked 7 eggs into the incubator.

Six years ------ Six years we have lived here and THIS is the year the geese decide to use our pond!

So sorry! I can only begin to imagine the panic that you must be feeling!

I'm pretty sure the statute of limitations has done gone for that theft. Yeah, it's for the publicity....
Actually, Mila could deny the whole thing and sue for slander. Legal stuff is full of turnabout is fair play. Just depends on how chummy you want to get with the bottom feeders or if you rise to the bait.
