It's good to hear from you. I had not seen you one here in a while. Congratulations on becoming a grandma again! The babies are so much fun to play with and love on.
Getting slower is part of the aging process but we don't have to like it. I hope you get settled in soon.
I slipped and fell last weekend and fractured my hip so not going anywhere fast here either. lol

I am hobbling on a cane and DH is doing all the chores for now. Pain killers and helping. I have crutches but they hurt. It was very scary. But at least it is not broke. Thank goodness!

I tend to pick up accents as well. I was born and raised in Arkansas (southern) and at one point we were living in Georgia and I was doing Social Work out in the community (country side, very rural) and we came home for Christmas and my mom commented on my Georgia accent. I have always adjusted (unconsciously) my vocabulary, accent to what ever group I am speaking with.It would be interesting to spend some time in the southern states, I tend to pick up very strong influences from local dialects... I wonder how I would sound after a few weeks. I had to concentrate really hard when working with Indians, I kept switching to sounding like Apu from the Simpsons...
"Well, bless your heart."

I love the south all the spanish moss and the huge old trees every where. And yes beer can all the beautiful wisteria! I tried to transplant some and it died.
I found a home for my 9 Peking ducklings. That makes me so happy they all went together.![]()
But its best to keep your clothes on in order to keep cool... you just have to choose the right clothes.
I am very happy living in the desert... but with all extreme climates you make life style changes. Like laying low during the hot part of the day... and doing chores that require muscle in the early morning or late afternoon.
And if you live in a remote area you can do brush hogging at midnight as long as you have a goood flood light....![]()
and then no one would care if you wore a speedo or not... ehem
deb "feeling better finally"
Ok. pain meds are working, going back to bed. See ya![]()
My 3 buckeyes were joined yesterday by 3 white leghorn chicks that a friend got for me at the feedstore. There is an awful lot of cuteness.
