The Old Folks Home

One packet of good seasonings garlic and herb, and one beer makes a good spedie marinade.

I've heard but never tried it that a mustard sauce on BBQ chicken is good.
I always put spicy brown mustard in my egg salad sandwiches, and a little Franks hot sauce, along with the usual mayonnaise.

I know I know. I've been MIA for awhile...but I'm here somewhere, I think. Maddy had TCAPS this week. She did well, we think. It's hard for that youngin to sit still so long and her focus would wander and the teacher would let her get up and stretch. She wants to go to Golden Corral to celebrate next week. We'd go this weekend but I have 84 eggs on lockdown and warring roosters (again). The pigs eacaped and we spent a fun afternoon rounding them up and repairing the fence. Then one of the old clay septic pipes busted and the yard was a big nasty pond thanx to all the rain. I really wish I owned stock at Lowes. (Sigh) Here's DH and the girls digging trenches for the new septic.

We lost Dobby to a stray. Called animal control who came and picked up the dog who was sitting calmly amidst the wreckage of my sweet boy. We lost a barred rock (Periwinkle). Egg bound. And this morning we lost my Dane, Daisy. She just didn't wake up. I actually glad that she went so peacefully, but I'm so gonna miss her. She turned 13 this past February.

Okay. That's enough rambling for now. I'm watching the Blazers/Memphis game and texting this post during commercials. Yep. It's Playoffs. Hoping the Spurs win it all again this year.

Oh my, sounds like this is how you are handling it though. Stuff happens, and sometimes it seems like all at once! Seriously though...

Thanx...I'm just happy that it's spring. Even though I've turned into a phlegm factory. My allergies are off the charts today. I've sneezed so much that it feels like I've been gargling with sand. Prolly doesn't help that I've always got my face buried in chicken feathers. My littlest ones (2 months) are snugglers.

So very sorry, it all ganged up on you at once. Hope it's all gone for the year at least. It doesn't make things any easier but 13 years was a good, long life for a Great Dane. At 7 they are already senior citizens.

Glad Ms.Maddy is doing well.
