The Old Folks Home

I also loved Avatar because it had a great story not just really good CGI

yes it did... I was soo jonesing for the book ... but dang there wasn't ever a book.

funny thing me... I really prefer to see the movie first. that way I have the characters visualized when i read the book. When you go the other way around the movie is a pale pale comparison of the book.

Only one that didnt disappoint me was Harry Potter.

Deb, I meant if you bump into it and chip it, then the grey would show through if only the surface is painted, of course some paints might migrate deeper into it. The bottom is closed, so no way to get a light in there without drilling in the bottom, although I was playing with the same idea in my head. I might think of something to put in there, but it actually looks pretty cool as it is. With the oak top my thought was to use it as a storage space at first, but it would look pretty messy with the glass top.

I might still use the oak top for something else, just haven't figured out what yet. And I would maybe want to pour something else out of concrete still, something pretty small to contrast the sofa table. I just don't know what.

all yuu need to do is add some felt spacers between the concrete and the table... then the cord can be run up and over the rim.

Other thing is you can get battery powered ones.. I used to make table center piece out of a glass vinegar jug and those lights... makes an awesome night light too.

Tomorrow is processing day.

Today one of my roosters decided to be completely underfoot, but in a sweet way. Just followed me around. Then at bedtime he launched himself at me and then managed to get onto my shoulder. Then he just sat down and sang little nothings in my ear.

He's won. I now can't kill him.

HOW DID HE KNOW?

Ohhh how sweet! I would have to keep him too!

A week ago I went into the coop to get the eggs and I had put some chicks in the coop to get them used to all the hens. Well I am still not walking well and I stumbled over a feed pan and nearly fell. My favorite and only Rooster "Handsome" came running in cuz some of the hens went running out of the coop hollering, and he spurred me twice before I knew what had happened! I still have deep scabs on my leg. But now when I go into the coop I run him out with the broom! I love him and he was just doing his job keeping the peace and it was me who caused the ruckus. But he still eats out of my hand! I could not put him in freezer camp.
