The Old Folks Home

After over 30 breeds, I'm now devoted to Black Penedesencas. I still have a lone Ameraucana who hatched in 2009 who's a great hen laying daily. She survived 2 dog attacks and a raccoon attack where she got chewed up pretty badly. She usually raises a brood of chicks every year.
I'm hatching some of her eggs to get some olive eggers. I'm only keeping a couple and selling the rest.
I only have the time, space and facilities to do justice to one breed.

This is the first year I haven't had a broody. I think it is the plastic nest pads I'm currently using.

Well today is Chris Jr's 6th birthday. He asked if we could go to the big city of Dothan and hit up Chuck E Cheese and Toys R Us. So we did. He wanted to play everything. This sign was on a soccor ball kicking game thingy
