The Old Folks Home

Good movie lately?    we watched "To Catch a Thief" the other night and I plan on watching "Singing in the Rain" tonight - or maybe "Francis the Talking Mule" since I have never seen that one.

We watched "Identity thief" last night. It was super funny

NO....DNR for me .. at least for now. I'm not ready to go yet.

We have enough ins. that will take care of our funeral arrangements..no problem for kids. :) And, we have lots. Like in, grave lots. Plus extra, in case something happens, we have two children that we worry about, one being our son with Spina Bifida..and the other my sister that is mentally handicapped. Just the lots though. :/

Bama the new comedy movie out "SPY" with Jude Law, Jason Statham and Melissa McCarthy might hit your funny bone. Lots of toilet humor and s*x innuendo and tons of sight gags.I've never seen Jason do comedy before, maybe this will be a trend for him.

or to stream or rent "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," it's with subtitles and definitely rated R +++. Swedish movie - this is the original version with Noomi Rapace, who is the very best. There are two more movies in a trilogy, the second "The Girl who Played with fire," and when I get the time I want to watch the 3rd. one "The Girl who Kicked the Hornet's Nest."

Also "The Daredevil" streaming a Netflix production. Very good, dark, brutal, addictive.

dark? that was dark??

huh.... so when I tell you that I think that Bounty Killer is the funniest B movie ever, you will not be surprised?

I was messing with you, I knew what you meant.

I used to say that I wanted a DNR and that I wouldn't want to be kept alive by a machine, or even live with major physical limitations.

That changed when I had children. Now, if I had to choose between death and life in a wheelchair watching my kids grow up and have families of their own, I'd choose the chair. Only, that is, as long as they weren't burdened by me. If they had to take care of my personal needs, or get into financial hardships to pay someone to, I'd rather they lose me and get past the grief.

I think about those things, too, sometimes. So much so, that I have been planning my final arrangements (casket, music, flowers, plot, headstone, etc.) and paying for them so that my family doesn't have to make any choices or hard decisions, nor have to figure out how to pay when they are grieving. My siblings and I had to plan Mom's funeral in the days after she died. That is one of the hardest things I have ever done. My kids will be able to just grieve. They will know that "This is what Mom wanted."

How's that for morbid?

Now, let's change the subject. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Perchie Girl Deb!

THank You for that segway... I think... and thanks for the Birthday wishes....
