Fire is scary. I went through the citizens academy of the mobile fire & rescue a few years ago and they had a house burning and from the time they started the fire it was totally engulfed in a few minutes

Driven by Santa Ana winds, the Cedar Fire burned 280,278 acres (1,134.2 km2) 2,820 buildings (including 2,232 homes) and killed 15 people including one firefighter before being contained on November 3, making it the largest fire in recorded California history.[1] However, the Cedar Fire continued to burn within its perimeter for a little over a month, until it was 100% controlled on December 5.[1]

blew through the heart of the county... we were evacuated twice. My horse got evacuated by my trainer to Imperial beach. My house in the desert was in escrow.

I remember going swimming & floundering in the gulf at night back in the 70's with friends at romar beach (orange beach now) & ... then those 'jaws' movies came out

Yeah those jaws movies scared the crap out of me. We are headed to Dauphin Island in 5 days. Do you need any chicks or eggs?
