Noooh! Old thing worth 5G here, farmers are nuts and have $.
Pulling first one out trunk size of coffee can, tried using suburban in 4 low no go just tore up lawn, had to try something waiting for them to leave

Second one took more wriggling, couldn't get close enough, hydro tranny weak. Picked up front end, weighs 10,000 lbs.

Boy wanted to play so he dug a frog pond in the stream that feeds our ponds

Man, I would have just gotten a broom stick, or some kind of stick and hit that thing the first time I saw it. Would have run into the house pretty quick. Wait, how far is the house?

Too late now, but I would have recommended a 2 gallon freezer zip-lock bag and darkness. Approach gently and open the bag, slip it around the nest with all the wasps/hornets/yellow jackets inside and break the nest free where it's attached and close/seal the bag. Place the entire thing in the freezer for a day or two then remove and shake out all the dead bugs. let the kids take it to school for show and tell.

Speaking of which, I was weeding a garden bed when my kids were still in school and discovered a female black widow spider the size of a quarter. I placed her in a large glass mayonnaise bottle with some grass blades and punched holes in the lid. I told my daughter to ask the teacher if she could bring it in to show the kids and the teacher said no, but I could bring it in. Set up a time and I brought it in and showed all the kids. They were fascinated... The teacher, not so much... she never got within 25 feet of me and that jar

. My next project was to try and catch a poisonous snake to bring in... never could catch one
