As a matter of fact, I did just retire today!!

Turned in my last job and I am d-o-n-e!

(Unfortunately, celebrating has to wait to Friday as I've got my colonoscopy tomorrow.... Not gonna have a fun night. This prep sludge is vile.)

Congratulations on the retirement! That's fantastic news for you.

Hope the colonoscopy goes well, and yes, the preps are not fun but do eventually make for a good story. I never understood why they branded one of the prep products with the name Golytely. You do anything but go lightly. I understand that it's a pun on the electrolytes in it... but it's very VERY misleading.

Our Medical group does not do routine colonoscopy now. They send a home test kit and do the colonoscopy if the test detects blood.

Studies I have seen shows a very similar result to a colonoscopy using a method like this--with a much lower cost.

I am so excited on how well my first quilting "hack" came out. You can buy wooden thread spool holders but they always seem so flimsy and there is a plastic version out there that is outrageously priced. I think it is $30 and doesn't hold a lot of spools. I need a lot more pegs but I love how this looks and it can hold a LOT of thread.

I did not know what to do with mine so they are in baskets in a drawer.

My wheelbarrow has a flat tire; it needs a new inner tube. I bought a tube for a wheelbarrow with the right sized rim, but when I got it home, it's clearly not the right size tube. My wheelbarrow doesn't just currently have a flat tire, it seems it always has a fat tire - looks like I get to take the tube back.

And then my daughter's horse Sunny had to put herself on my naughty list... There is now a small crack in the Explorer's right tail light, and a kneecap-sized dent above it. Ice and ibuprofen time . . . . Dance class is gonna be fun tomorrow.

I had issues for years with the tire on my w-barrow going flat. Once that seal "breaks", you will never get it to properly seat again, and a tube is a short term fix. If you look over in the w-barrow section you should be able to find a "solid" wheel replacement that will never need inflation and never deflate. I think it cost about $15 or so and you simply undo the nuts on the old wheel, remove the axle and pull the old wheel, put the axle through the new wheel and re-install it. Should have done it years earlier and saved hours and hours of re-inflation hassles.

The 12-24 hours before the procedure, cleaning one's self out, REALLY sucks!

I asked them to NOT knock me out so I could watch on the monitor and they complied. Was pretty neat to see my insides

and the local made it so I didn't feel a thing, just a little pressure. They found one little polyp, "scooped/cut" it and it came back clean. Good luck with your procedure tomorrow! Hope all comes back clean for you too!
