Thank you so much! I appreciate you kindness so much.

Wish you had got me last weekend! I had a slew of turkey feathers!
I did not even think about it till last night trying to figure out how to do this for hunting guys. But thank you.

Finally got around to posting my coop construction. And, yes, entered it in the contest.

Not much new to report. The last of the pepper harvest was turned into green pepper jelly this morning. Tomatillos got harvested today. The last thing in the garden is the sweet potatoes.

Birds are feeling the Fall.... Lazy slackers. Two eggs yesterday. Three today. Just last month it was eight a day!

DH has a part-time counseling gig at a Head Start school....and has come down with the latest iteration of whatever school kids are passing around.

Hope everybody is staying safe in whatever weather they've got!

Wow Wisher your is is awesome! I was never very good at picking things out for the boys. I had to wait to hear what they wanted and make a note. lol

I have been working on building up some old coins for the boys one day. They love that stuff!

My boys will always take ten more:
Knives
Wallets
Locking banks
Flashlights of all kinds (tiny key ring, head lamp, giant flood, etc.)
Multitools
Duct tape
Rope and string and cord
Machettes
Guns, including pellet guns and BB guns, and salt guns, and potato guns, etc.

You can make some great wallets out of duct tape.

Thanks Chickadoodle!

Building it was very meditative and I learned a lot about myself in doing so. For intance, I tend to overthink things out before execution, like it took weeks before I actually cut a board because I had to think about the progression of the coop in my head to completion. I could hardly be called spontaneous. More like methodical. It wasn't quite visualization, but I knew where I wanted to go with it. Then it was a lot of math. And I discovered -- besides having a healthy fear of ladders -- that when I get tired I just don't care. It took a long time to build because I was also coordinating landscaping and home decorating PLUS my part-time job that would whisk me away at inopportune times AND the distraction of having a passel of chicks in the house.

I think I can safely predict that is the last coop I'll build, so it's a good thing I love it!
