The Old Folks Home

Yep! I am so proud of my dad! :D

Look at a junky loaf of bread next time you are at the store.....

The March of Dimes wanted to put the minimum amount of folic acid in TWO slices of bread, my dad said nope! What about the poor super nauseous moms? So the minimum was put in one slice!

I reached for the rabbit to hold him. As I tried to get his back feet he started kicking and got my hand. I did manage to get ahold of hime but he was scared. I don't think they had held him much though. The doe was not scared to be held but I did hold her feet to pet her. I had her eating a carrot out of my hand after we got them settled. I am hoping to the buck will learn not to be so scard of us we gave him a carrot. :)

Cynthia folic acid also helps with leg cramps. My BIL worked in the oil fields and would get severe leg cramps my sister started giving him folic acid and and the cramps stoped.
My youngest son would get leg cramps so bad that we spent hours rubbing his legs daily for 4 years and when I started him on folic acid his leg cramps stopped.

Yup, bunnies do like to scratch. Ours are pretty fine with handling, but some do put up a bit of a fight every once in a while. Sometimes they don't want to be captured if they escape their pen during cleaning. It's nice to look at the bunnies hop around the yard.

I hope the bunny gets a bit easier to handle for you!

I read an article about 10 years ago about anemia--It said that iron, zinc and folic acid deficiencies are the major cause and that the three should be taken for anemia. With three daughters in the house, it was very helpful. That combination will stop the symptoms in about three days.

Poking around a bit this morning, there have been some recent studies on that combination, especially zinc helping with iron uptake.

My heart Dr.'s nursed called me to say that my nucular stress test was abnormal and that the Dr. wants me in his office for a visit to discuss the test on Nov. 2nd. Nurse said I likely won't be able to have the hernia surgery right now. I guess he will want to fix the leaky valve?

That sucks!

I hope they get you fixed up and cleared for the operation soon.
