Alaskan, I didn't know folks in Alaska needed a refrigerator. You could just put everything outside. Or is the fridge just to keep predators from getting the contents???

On a totally non related note

I just reached 40,000 words tonight at 10:30 pm

Gettn zapped means your not grounded. Lived in Highly charged climates most my life. Hair stands out when brushed.

couple of things that work.

Buy a grounding strap it fastens to your shoe like a spur strap

Using anti static sheets for in the dryer. Better yet spray your clothes with anti static spray.

Its caused by very dry air and free electrons created when you move around in that air. Insulated for the cold also insulates you from being grounded.

For what its worth a single zap of static electricity discharges about 20,000 to 25,000 volts.

I used to have to keep up with electrostatic electricity training. ESD class every six months...

LOL.... never thought of it. Always lived with it. Loved sneaking up on my dad and zaping him on the back of the neck Course you had to scubb your tennies in the carpet first.

LOL... yeah, zapping can be fun. Especially in the dark... seeing a lightning bolt leaving from your finger tip is pretty cool, even if it does hurt a bit.
