Grit ice cream? Sound like something only an insane mad scientist, that's gone insane, and mad again, would invent.

Talking about changing litter, I use Coastal Hay in my nest boxes, and in the coops, and runs in the winter. ONCE and only once, I went to get some hay, and all they had was cow hay, but sold it to me as coastal. I just tell them what I need, and they load everything, so I didn't really notice it, but commented to my Dd that it was funny that I wasn't smelling the sweet smell of hay. I got to the coop, unloaded the hay, and knew very quickly that it was not what I had paid for. Not only is there a wonderful sweet smell to coastal hay, but it has a nice texture. This cow hay didn't smell sweet, and the texture was tough, and hard. It was all I had, so I cleaned out the old stuff, and put in the new. My chickens normally love it when I change out their hay. Boy, they gave me an earful. They hated the new stuff. Yeah, they didn't want it touching their feet, didn't want to get in the nest boxes, and didn't want to scratch in it. I had to go change it out.

Be CAREFUL folks. Stop slipping, falling, twisting things, scraping yourselves up, and bruising yourselves. That being said, I hope you are ok, that its superficial, and will heal quickly. IF you must fall, look around to make sure no one is watching. LOL!

Not a single person wants my leghorn spitzhauben crosses.... Sheesh.... Adorable and practical, Great laying and tiny tophats. No accounting for taste.
