The Old Folks Home

It wasn't a hugely expensive one, amazing that those things can run thousands of dollars! I think it was a Simmons, he found at cabelas, less than $200. I haven't even looked through it yet, it just arrived, but he said it seems like it will work well for our purposes.

I love my .223 rifle scope. Its a Center Point, red/green illuminated, awesome scope! Bought the display at the store because it was the last one they had. When they pulled the box, they got the wrong box, and we got it for a steal! Oops!! Their mistake. I still feel bad for not telling them, but buying the display was risky anyway, so I didn't point it out.

Ribcage injury sounds painful, hope he gets to feeling better soon!

I've been catching mice inside the house here off and on all winter. I have no idea where they're coming in at...

The ones that made it into my house were coming up along the plumbing of the dishwasher. Also along the electrical outlet under the sink. Found the previous owners (spell that m-o-r-o-n-s) had packed the gaps around the conduit with steel wool. It was all fried and arc-y. Amazing the house didn't burn down. Anyway, we had some electricians make some faceplates to seal the gaps and also closed off the wee spaces around the pipes with sealant. In the garage we had to use sealant where the pipes for the hot water heater and boiler enter the house as they were getting into the walls that way.

Good luck!

Welcome newcomers. I don't think I've ever spoken to you Sally, but I sure did use your hatching information when I hatched out my first chicks, and read her interview on another thread, so I feel like we're old friends, even if you had no idea I even existed. LOL!

I promised her some fresh green peanuts. I had major issues with my neighbor watching me until he got them all picked this season.

I may send her some fruit stripe and some fresh pecans for now

I have her address, too.

No activity continues on the traps.

BF bought me a 12 shot Uberti .22 revolver a couple months ago. I had been wanting it for a while. The rat shot jams the Walther P22 so it's a one shot trick. I'm thinking (hoping) the Uberti gives me 12 clean shots.

Will find out tomorrow... if the rats come out.

Rat shot is hard on a barrel.

If you want to shoot lots, best to get an inexpensive revolver. A revolver has less moving parts, so less to get jammed.... And you want an inexpensive one so once you mess up the barrel you can just toss it.

they may be able to, but maybe don't like the taste.

I just know when I put that stuff around some plumbing holes in the house, it kept them at bay, and has done so for almost 6 years now?

Dang!

I just looked at a photo of my niece! She is just 16, and looks 25, and gorgeous!

And yes, she is interested in boys.

I have no idea what I would do if she were mine.

My eldest is 17, and has no interest in real life women and romance. I like it that way. Maybe he will hold off until age 22... That would be great.

Welcome, Eggs2Luv, it sure takes awhile to catch up on here, too fast. We should have a "slow lane," or Ron could condense the daily affairs into a few sentences, so we stay current.
