The Old Folks Home

Perchie, you just have to visit my profile page - actually I have never liked my name.
I love Nancy! But I hate mine! Ride sally ride, sally gal, ride sally ride, sneakin sally through the alley, silly sally, my pal sal, sally sells seashells, and the list goes on... yeah it has its issues

Sally, I started with Golden Comets, then after I got a few years experience under my belt, I got a SQ breeding trio of LF Black Australorps from Matt1616. I then hatched some out, and did pretty good at the last poultry show.
ohh!!!! got pics of yours Cheryl? I never had any. I love black chickens, the best colors of all chickens, my white face black spanish showed the most amazing titanium colors I ever seen! I miss them boogers so much

I live in the bottom of a very dark and cold well
have you found any dreams down there yet?

Aww Alaskan so many people are making such a fuss about wanting to go live on the last frontier! You are already there and living the all American dream.
I think I would have loved to have grown up in that lifestyle. My wife, and even myself agree, I was born about a hunnert years too late.

even in my 20's, I would have loved to have moved and taken on that lifestyle, heck, even in my 30's.

but here at 45, no way I could start living like that.

I still do allot of work around the house, manually, rather that grab a big power tool, or the tractor, but no way I think I could do all of that to survive, at this age. Old and fat is no time to make that kind of adjustment.

Kudos to you Al.

much respect.

If it just weren't so darn cold and dark . . . .

Seriously, shortly after we were married, Hubby made noises about maybe moving to Alaska, and I told him, "You do, and you are going alone." I couldn't survive the winters, and I know it.

Alaskan, I brought you with me in spirit yesterday. Our float did two Christmas parades (one in the morning, one in the evening). Amazing, lovely weather for mid-December (low in the mid-50's, high in the mid 70's). I wish I could box it up and send it to you!

Bunny, can we see some pics of your float?

Nancy made me think of a certain song about boots made for walking, and nothing wrong with Sally either. Growing up with the name Felix made me hear a lot of jokes about a feline cartoon character, and also, it's a huge condiment brand here, rivals Heinz. So Felix Ketchup is a common joke too.
