The Old Folks Home

cool.

you had animals on your float.

manger scene themed float?
No, we were the Cape Fear Fair and Expo entry. Most of the people involved are owners/volunteers in the livestock tent during the fair. A lot of us were wearing red T-shirts or hoodies that say "LIVESTOCK STAFF" on them. People love seeing the animals during the fair, so we make kids and animals the focus of the float. It's kind of funny - last night, some of the animals in those pictures weren't on the float because they had a previous commitment to appear in a live nativity, so though we had lots of kids, we were kind of short on hoof stock.

Nancy made me think of a certain song about boots made for walking, and nothing wrong with Sally either. Growing up with the name Felix made me hear a lot of jokes about a feline cartoon character, and also, it's a huge condiment brand here, rivals Heinz. So Felix Ketchup is a common joke too.
Felix Ketchup - that's what winds up getting on the latest building project when you get scratched by the wire or nicked by a tool, right?

(I damage myself all the time when I'm "creating." Latest piece of valuable advice - when you knock a soldering iron off the stand, be smarter than me - grab for the cord, or the handle . . . .

Oh, and it started snowing a while ago. Probably not going to stay on the ground, but it's nice to have a bit more light. 4 pm and pitch black outside otherwise.

Vehve, it sucks here for sunlight, too. Sun doesn't come up until about 0700 and it's pitch dark by 1600, too.

I'm really liking that quilt. Inspiration for a new project maybe.

Are you a quilter, too?

Bunnylady your right. To dark and cold I know I could not live there either. My DH has teased me for several years about moving to Alaska. I told him if bought me a house with central heat and a indoor bathroom with indoor running water I would go. heheehe
Joke's on me now. DH said the RV has all that! Ohhhhhhh noooooo!

Bunnylady those float pics are beautiful! Wow you rock all those parades so close together!

I worked in Borger, Texas during a winter, and stayed in my travel trailer.

I can't imagine all the work you'd have to do to make an RV livable in the winter in Alaska.

my poop tank froze once, for three days!!!
