Have fun!Well, despite snow covered/packed roads, the sun is shining and I'm going to meet and have (real) Philly Cheese steak subs for lunch w/a friend. I've been a good lad and shoveled out the walkways so I can get to/from the garage and the front door. Clearing that drift was a royal pain... but it's done. I'll let the sun clear the driveway. It's dirt, and I'm not shoveling it. Luckily, the wind blew it mostly clear... only a couple of inches deep. I'll use 4 wheel drive to break through the drift in front of the garage door. Love owning a 4x4 truck!
Not silkies but cute!
Look at other feathered breeds that have less than 5 toes.
Brahma or favorelle?
Where are they from?
It gets trickier then...Meyer sells white Marans. They are NOT Faverolles since one of their key features IS five toes. Not likely Brahma either given their very light color, maybe White Cochins?
Quote: I guess I will see. lol It's fun just wondering.
Quote: Wow all the wonderful guesses and helpful in site! Thanks so much. I was thinking about a couple looking like Marans and yes the feather legged ones could be Cochin's. I am hoping I got some Dominiques and Barred Rocks or just all of em!
Cheeks look puffy to me but otherwise the photo is out of focus, much too close unless you can use a macro lens. Really any breed coming from hatchery can be missing important stuff like right number of toes, wrong comb etc. They generally are not 'typy' birds like you would get from a breeder. So they can 'vaguely' be the breed they list.
Give them a few more weeks and ask again.
