Getaclue, I had something similar happen to me.many years ago. I couldn't stop vomiting, so the nurses tried to put a tube down my nose etc. Sick as I was I couldn't tolerate that feeling, I battled off 2 nurses (I was told) and finally the dingbats gave me something thru an iv. Presto, no more vomiting. I think a lot of people aside from the medical profession also are maybe book smart but, devoid of common sense.
