ONe time he was welding on something on the floor squatted donw for a good view.... Got that job done and realized he had sunburnt parts that should have never seen the light of day... We teased him endleslly about why he walked like a cowboy for about a week.....

Or the time He raised me up straight out of bed with a string of curses and furtive sounds from his lab. I asked him what happened. He had blown the fuses on TWO oscilloscopes... he was trying to find the spare fuses...

Then he was developing a machine to manufacture contact lenses.... He needed a very good seal for the bearings because they were using diamond dust slurry for the machining process. Lead time for the right one was about six months.... He designed one and made a mold and cast his own in 48 hours..

I was checked out on all the machines in the garage by the time I was fourteen. I learned how to solder at 16 because we built our first color TV. hed call out the numbers for the resisters I would read the color code and hand him one. I also had to Drive to the drug store to test the vacuume tubes too. 1971

My sisters goats are always trying to kill themselves.....

I am starting to wonder .....
I've heard it said that goats are born looking for a way to die, so it sounds like your sisters' goats are doing their part for the species.

On the few occasions that I have transported goats, I've noticed that they laid down pretty soon after the vehicle started moving. Apparently, they don't like swaying and getting swung off balance; they are more stable lying down and assume that position pretty quickly. Unfortunately, they can still yell while lying down.
