The Old Folks Home

Here is a photo from the internet, so you all know why I am drooling:

Which "product" do you use on their hair??

Most of gators here are of more moderate size, of course, but there are enough large ones to know that they certainly get that big. There is one that has lived at Orton Plantation for maybe 50 years. They were guestimating that he was 10 feet long, but nobody was about to walk up and put a tape on him to find out . . . . so somebody had the bright idea to drive a couple of wooden stakes into the ground 10 feet apart in one of the spots where he likes to haul out and bask. Conveniently, he parked himself pretty much exactly between them - yup, he's 10 feet long!

Seems it takes a while to get to "big gator" size.

I am a whiney baby with a head cold... Supposedly doing my taxes... I am behind and dragging -sigh-

My head is all throbbing. Wah. And lots of sniffles :(

I do have some new chicks hatching... I think so far 3 d'anvers, 2 spitz, and an ameraucana.

The kids, as we speak, are introducing the milk goats to the pasture with electric fence. I hope it works OK. Goats are pretty smart... Should be fine.

Blah... I don't wanna work.... I am all chilled and sweaty at the same time.

Where is everyone???

Wisher, dsqard and myself are heading out for one more day of adventure.

Be sure to ask Wisher about that black eye I gave her.

Pretty water feature SCG.

This black eye thing does NOT sound good! Perhaps you pushed her down over the waterfall???

"Hey Wisher, look at that, yeah, right down at the bottom under the waterfall. You have to lean over just a BIT more to see it"

"Oops"
