The Old Folks Home

Yup and they added another week now to it too. I'm struggling to stay awake today.
Diva I wish I could nap but never could. I mostly can't fall asleep.
I'm having a hard time sleeping once I get home from this too. Way too bright and too much caffeine

IM up.... 11:30 here.... Right coast and all that.

went through the ER day before yesterday .... Grandma.... Issues with heart rate. All good. Her Cardiologist was on call and adjusted her meds. But after sitting with her for six hours waiting for a diagnosis, decisoin, results from tests.... I am still recouperating.

I so do not do well in hospitals... not my area of .... what ever.

If I can tear myself away at BYC I will be going to bed. My napping is involuntary - whenever I have to go to my room to change clothes, get papers etc. Next thing I know I have been "out" for hours. When I decide to sleep, I am tossing and turning all night(morning) whatever and cannot fall asleep. I never feel rested from any of this. I haven't been able to change any of this, so just accept it as normal for me.

Cynthia I am currently living in York PA but will probably buy around Shrewsbury. It is a little closer to work and a lot more quiet. We have had a few people come and look but no buyers yet. Last comment from someone looking was that the house was too close to the road? LOL nothing we can do about that.

Diva it is actually kind of boring and lonely without DH around. Tomorrow I am going to head up to see DD and the grandbaby after work. I will stay the night and head back to PA about mid-day.

Morning all,
for those of you talking of heat, we DIDN'T frost last night, yes!

First time in a lot of years we made it thru the last May/first June full week without a frost/freeze cycle (so far

Really need it to hold as I have no choice but to move the two chick survivors (they will be 5 wks old Sunday) out into the grow out pen next week because the replacement for the ones that froze to death during the last shipment should be shipping on Monday and l need the brooder in the sunroom for them. I really wish they could have sent the replacements sooner. This spacing is really awkward for my setup. I've had to do a lot of fast remodeling to accommodate and in the middle of it all I am dealing with a VERY stubborn broody! I can't even try sneaking the chicks under her because the two survivor chicks will be where I would put her and I don't have enough room on the coop floor for the growout setup and a broody momma/chicks setup

Next year I really need to 1. find an instate breeder for the birds I want and 2. one that actually knows how to sex their birds. (I know, but I can dream can't I?)

Most of the time I never feel rested, either. I actually slept this morning from 4 am to 10 and I woke up and felt worse than before I went to bed. How is that possible???

I also woke up with a nice red eye (just one). Hopefully that's as far as it goes and it doesn't start to crust today.

it was 83 by 10 am this morning. the hills are already browning for summer....
That is why California is the Golden State--because of the dead brown grass.

It is 79 at 11:37 here in Davis. We are cooler today but will be 6 degrees warmer tomorrow--That will be 105. We will see though.
