One of the best range days I've ever had was at the NRA Whittington Center. We discovered that it along our route to NM as we were driving down to Arizona to participate in a speed bike race and get married while we were there. This place is HUGE. So big that you can be shooting and barely hear the gunfire from two ranges down and they have ranges for every type of firearm imaginable from .22 to machine guns. It was like an amusement park for people who love to shoot. Our only dismay was that we only had a few hours to stay there and it's too far away to visit regularly.Did you take him up on the Glock?![]()
One of the things I had planned for on the Alabama trip was a range day. I had DH ready an assortment of our personal guns to lay out and shoot. It just didn't work into our schedule.... too bad, we have some fun pistols (.22 long, .357 mag revolver, a black powder one, and of course, .40 and .45 semi autos) and an assortment of long guns for hunting (too numerous to list but rifles, shotguns, and the occasional assault rifle.....)
...... and I WOULD make you breakfast! How about some fluffy light pancakes? I happen to have some real maple syrup.![]()
Our best range is behind our house. I have to admit, it's great to be able to step out onto your own back porch in order to get in a little range time.
